That Sinking Feeling

This encompasses how I currently feel at least three times a day...

Today we brought a harness for our outboard motor, so I don't drop the 25kg engine in the sea.

Captain took the harness out of the box... and I promptly dropped the safety buckle for it in the sea. 

We clutched for it with the boat hook but it was lost to the fish. I hope they make use of it. 

Afterwards I just stood there, wishing there was an adult around to fix it, then realising that I am now an adult.  How did that happen!
